เพิ่งเข้าไปอ่านใน WIKIPEDIA แล้วพบว่า Pete Hamill กับผู้แต่งเพลง TIE YELLOW RIBBON ROUND OLD OAK TREE เคยฟ้องร้องกันด้วย ว่าใครเป็นคนต้นคิดไอเดียเรื่องนี้ก่อนกัน แต่ผลปรากฏว่า จริงๆแล้วความเชื่อที่ให้ผู้หญิงผูกริบบิ้นสีเหลืองไว้หน้าบ้านเพื่อรอผัว มีมานานหลายศตวรรษแล้ว และมีมาตั้งแต่ยุคชาวพิวริตันอพยพจากยุโรปมาสู่อเมริกา

อ่านเรื่องนี้แล้วนึกถึงคดี "กระสือ" ในบ้านเรา ที่เหมือนเคยได้ยินว่ามีบางคนจะอ้างลิขสิทธิ์ในตัวกระสือ ทั้งที่จริงๆแล้วมันเป็นความเชื่อที่มีมานานนมแล้ว
ความเชื่อเรื่องริบบิ้นเหลืองนี้ได้รับการถ่ายทอดไว้ในเพลง TIED ของ Julia Fordham ด้วย เพลงนี้เพราะสุดๆเลยจ้า
